Hi,

I am a working mom with 2 kids and we are planning to move to High Wycombe area. My elder daughter is in Year 4 and my Younger one is going into reception this year. I think it will be difficult to get places in primary schools in High Wycombe / Beaconsfield. But struggling to find out which schools has afterschool clubs in this area?

Cheers,
svamum

Hamilton does. It is in HW town centre. If you read the ofsted you will think ugh but it is a very diverse school with everything from deprived homes, english as a foreign language to yummy mummies and city workers. Basically whatever your background you will fit in (or i shall say your kids will). It is a 5minute walk from the station if this is relevant. It is a three class intake and has breakfast and after school club and other after school activities. It is a lovely nurturing environment.

I should add it is a split site with the sites 10min walk apart. r 3 and 4 are on one site and 1256 on the other. They walk the kids between sites for breakfast and after school club.

Thanks BramblyHedge. Being closer to the station, Hamilton is definitely ideal as I work in London.
I have also called up a few schools and confirmed these schools don't have Afterschool (Chepping View, Booker Hill, Castlefield) .
So far found Millbrook Combined & Highworth Combined have Afterschool. But I think there is a long waiting list of pretty much all of the schools in High Wycombe. We will just have to take our chances and be on the waiting list i guess.

St Mary's in beaconsfield doesn't have one, but the local nursery (brindley house) does before and after school care for children from that school.

You could get a childminder for wrap around.

Independent schools tend to do longer hours. Berkhamstead for example does 7.30 - 6.30.

Thanks ipadquietly,Karoleann and Inclusionist for the information.

Hi svamum this is what we were looking for too.

I think you'll find Hamilton v hard to get a place now.

If you can travel a bit (or get a nanny just for drop off/pick up) Naphill has before & after school clubs & sometimes still has places left
