MyDDs current school has mixed year groups, some 6 year old are moving up to junior school this September.

Does anyone have a clue? I can't see to find anything online.

Children who will be 7 between 1 sept 2012 and 31 august 2013 will go to juniors in September, and places will already have been applied for.

It's entirely possible that some children who are currently 6 to be going to juniors; they have between now and the end of August to turn 7. Merged classes are irrelevant to this; what matters is when the child was born. If your child falls into these birth dates, you need to make a late application for a junior place asap.
