Heard on Newsnight, which I am watching on catchup, that Gove and the Department have released a list of words that 10 year olds need to know.

Does anyone know where to find it? Are there similar lists for different ages?

This is quite a short list - just 235.

Back in 2000 Blunkett had produced a list of 600 words which he wanted every 11-year-old to learn.
Quite a few were from different subjec areas, but 150 were for spelling:
