Dd has what I can only describe as a butterfly brain.Hama beads,SF,colouring you name it.After 20 mins max she's off onto something else. I've also noticed she's not that great re applying herself fully to activities ie she'll chat and think about pretty much anything other than the job in hand.

Last night we were doing homework(late admittedly)something relatively easy for her however because she couldn't be arsed, didn't fully engage and kept chatting about her gerbils,a book she'd read etc,etc she made silly mistakes.

She never, ever sits down for a good hour and applies herself fully to anything.

Sooooo getting worried as if she doesn't discipline herself soon she's not going to do as well as she could in the future.

Wondered if we could start doing some activities to improve her self discipline and long periods of concentration?

Any ideas?

Brownies? There are activities where the children are organised and don't have an opportunity to flit around like bat on steroids.

She does that, pretty sure dd could flit around like a bat on steroids anywhere Grin!

She's not into screens so they aren't an issue.
