Can someone explain what the flip oracy is and what they do

Apparently it's on the school curriculum but I'm not entirely sure what it means.

Do they just mean speaking skills? Is it taught as a thing or just worked into other lessons?

Slightly baffled Confused

Speaking. Usually called oracy when reading the Frameworkfor Primary Languages, but probably in Literacy, too.

'Speaking and Listening' used to be a big part of Literacy, but got squeezed out by more spelling and grammar. We need more of it, not less. Children who can't speak in sentences aren't much good at writing them

Yes. Speaking and listening.
It is worked into lots of other lessons. We also do a few skills-activities specifically for oracy, using speaking frames to support the children in improving their speaking.
