Hi there, i searched this forum and could not find enough info on these two schools. I am really struggling to make a decision as to which school to place my daughter, Duncombe or Heath Mount. I wonder if anyone have heard of these schools or are familiar with them and can share their opinions? What are the good points? And what are the negative sides? Any info will be much appreciated

I do know of both schools and have a friend with children in Duncombe. She has been more than happy with it. I don't know of anyone at Heath Mount though. We are very lucky in that area, all the schools both private and state, primary and secondary are very good. You can't go wrong really

Thanks Minnisota, this is good to hear. I am in two minds about Duncombe as I was told by someone who teaches there that the school is underfunded and that impacts the quality of childcare in the nursery Treetops and at school. According to the "source" kids only pass the CE exams due to intensive coaching during the last years at school. I was also told that Abel Smith state primary in Hertford is academically stronger. My preference would be a private school as I believe the child will get more attention and opportunity to develop in a small class, hence trying to get more info on Duncombe and Heath Mount to make a decision between these two prep schools. I agree, that living in Hertford you are spoilt for choice of schools :-)
