Hello, DD is starting school in 2 weeks and I think I'm quite organised re clothes etc but I have no idea what she needs to take in terms of things she needs to take in a daily basis, if anything. The school has said she will need a PE kit and a change of clothes but will she be excpected to take this in on her first day / week? Also the school provide a book bag, will she need another bag or will this be all. Does she need to take snacks or suntan cream, hat? I am feeling very clueless! Thank you

Just PE kit and change of clothes, from first day. Lunchbox if not having hot dinners - make she she can open it and get into the food if applicable.

Bookbag (we had the school one) with nothing in it - it will come home with books and, ahem, fabulous artwork in it.

No pencil case/pencils or snacks needed - they get a free piece of fruit at snacktime. I suspect if you want/need suncream on, you slather them in it before you take them but you can send a named sunhat if weather calls for it.

Pretty much what Moning said.

If you want suncream, put it on before she leaves - the once-a-day stuff form boots is good for school.

PE kit will live in her PE bag on her peg.

Perhaps a drinks bottle with water in.
