Question re primary school uniform and what to wear on the first day?

Ds1 starts p1 on Tuesday and he has a fairly relaxed school uniform consisting of a logo polo shirt, grey trousers and black shoes. Shirt and tie is also an option but not as popular. He also has a jumper with logo on it. Blazers are optional and no one wears them so I didn't buy him one.

I'm not sure what to dress him in for his first day, shirt and tie to look smart or polo shirt for comfort? And do you wear a tie with a polo shirt? [minefield!]

No ties with polo shirts it's just wrong Wink DSs school is always roasting so I would go with the polo (minus tie)!

Put him in what most of the others kids seem to be wearing. I'd go for the more comfortable and less fussy option of polo shirt (no tie).

polo shirt and grey trews. Jumper in his bag unless hes wearing it. No Tie in P1 unless school insist.

Shirt and tie for a photo of his first day then change into polo shirt for comfort.

I like shirt and tie for first day. Then see what others do.

Never, ever wear polo shirt and tie.
