Hi everyone, I am moving from Jamaica to study at the University of Leeds in a few months and need as much help on finding a good primary and high schools (secondary schools) for my two girls. My 8 year old is going into grade 3 and my 12 year old is going into grade 8 in September. They both go to Catholic girls schools, so thats a preference (if there are any really good ones)

I know nothing about Leeds or distances, so good tips on neighborhoods and schools close enough to the University are desperately needed! HELP!!

I can't help but didn't want to see you go unanswered... maybe you could try posting in the Leeds Local talk pages. They're usually helpful.

Hi Sanpandy
there are no single sex catholic schools in leeds, the best of the secondary catholics is Cardinal Heenan, in meanwood, about 3 miles from the university. There are several well regarded catholic primaries that feed into it, St Urbans is probably the most sensible choice for you - it's next to cardinal heenans and has a good reputation.
enjoy Leeds and yorkshire Grin
