Yr 3 DD needs to improve handwriting to get her pen license, what can I do to help?

That's it really. She is doing joined up writing and it can be messy when she's in a rush but not illegible particularly.

However her teacher has said that until her handwriting is neat across the board, she won't be allowed to use a fountain pen and will have to continue writing in pencil. I believe that only 1 girl has been given her license but another 10 have been told that they are nearly there. I don't want her to be the last one!

Is there anything I can do to help?
I have bought her a pencil grip which she uses. Other than getting her to write and correcting her handwriting is there anything I can do?
