Just wondering what would inspire you to fill in a survey?

Wine/chocolate/extreme boredom from writing reports

mrz · 12/03/2012 17:28

I can't think of any prize that would encourage me to fill in a survey

stargirl1701 · 12/03/2012 17:32

Wine.

mrz · 12/03/2012 18:07

perhaps doing my ironing for me Hmm

Hulababy · 12/03/2012 18:17

I'm no longer a teacher but was. Still working in schools though.

I have never minded filling in surveys if I know what they are about and what the information is being used for. If I think they're a waste of time I don't bother. But on the whole if it isn't going to take too long I do them anyway, generally for free tbh.

mrz · 12/03/2012 18:23

I don't mind filling in surveys either which is why the idea of a prize doesn't inspire me at all ... tbh the prize idea puts me off

juniper904 · 12/03/2012 19:26

Amazon vouchers
Release time
Gin

cornsilkidy · 12/03/2012 19:59

wine/chocolate/day off

BackforGood · 12/03/2012 22:58

The idea of a very unlikely to win prize wouldn't encourage me.
I will fill in a survey if it's relatively short, if it is well thought out, if it sticks to the point it's trying to research, and if there are possible answers I can put for each question. Without research, any changes are just a stab in the dark, so I'm happy to help with research where it's well done. I hate the ones that try to steer you to an answer, and won't let you move on if you don't have a box you can honestly tick.

AdventureInKL · 12/03/2012 23:04

Short, pretty, with a clear purpose and good grammar.

AdventureInKL · 12/03/2012 23:05

yy to prize puts you off. Unless it's only colleagues you know entering, and the prize is a day off.

mrz · 13/03/2012 06:31

I don't particularly want to give some random stranger all my personal details for the chance to win something I don't really want

savoycabbage · 13/03/2012 06:35

I would think that the survey was a ruse to get my email address or that the whole survey was a promotion for Amazon or Ferraro Roche.

mumma2me · 13/03/2012 09:51

The purpose of the survey was to get first hand questions from the users ie the teacher on resources.

The response rate is always very low so tagging along a "prize" may incite more completed questionnaires.

What about:

free Resources for the school
vouchers ie M&S, Debenhams, Amazon etc...
free iPad or Kindle perhaps

mrz · 13/03/2012 19:50

In that case I definitely wouldn't fill it in ...sorry!
