Hi can anyone help me? We moved back to the UK at Christmas after 6 years overseas. We are living with my mum for the next year at least so I made an application for my DD for a reception sept 2012 place from this address. I lived here before moving abroad but all I have as proof that we are now there permanantley are 2 bank accounts, driving licesne and a NEXT account! My daughter was born abroad so I don't claim child benefit as of yet- I'm still in the process of registering her with a doctor. I'm worried that we will be refused a school place on these grounds but what can I do?

Talk to your LA. They should be able to cope with this situation.

In my opinion it is for the LA to prove that you do not live where you claim, not for you to prove that you do live there. As PRH says the LA should be able to cope with this, it happens all the time. If all else fails they can come and visit!
