If your child goes to a private school or school that requires entrance assessment

Aside from academic abilities, did your DC's extracurricular activities come into consideration of the assessors? If so, which activities?

I think that the assessors are simply looking for children who have outside interests which they enjoy doing. I don't think that it matters what they are. It is just to know that the children will enjoy taking an active part in the daily life of the school.

They would be interested to know about any sports, music, art, rainbows/brownies/cubs, cookery/gardening at home with you etc.

DC's school news letter is always going on about x won the U12 cross country or how y won the U15 chess tournament etc.

This is what the highly selective indies are looking for as opposed to how many Scout badges DC has which is perhaps more relevant for 7+ (no disrespect intended)
