Are there other children on holiday in term time? - takling kids out of school

Hi

We are being forced to take our kids on holiday in term time this year - we had a holiday booked for August but I have since found out I am pregnant and due in August and therfeore can only fly up to May, so have had to change the date of the holiday - we will be missing the last week of term befor the June half term.

WE havent done this before, my kids will be 5 and 7, has anyone be away to Canaries or similar in term time and are there other children there for the kids to play with? - Holiday friends are an integral part of my 7 year olds holiday!! -
Has anyone had any experience of going away in term time and are there ever any other kids over pre-school age to make friends with!!!

Oh OK - thanks for that - actually looking at dates it is looking like we may even go 30 april - 7 may when I will be 6.5 months as I'm not sure I want to go on holiady at 7 months - i presume there would still bekids ther at that time??

4 hours on a plane and a holiday at 7 months - hmmmm not sure , any opinions / advice?
