Help! Successful appeal but daughter will not be with her year group

Last week my appeal for my daughter to change primary schools was upheld - the panel said that the school/admissions authority did not have a valid case because the school is under capacity.

I contacted the headteacher is ask if I could come and see her and meet the teacher and class. Today she has sent me an email to say that my child will be joining the year 4 class and not the year 5 class and that this was explained at the hearing (it was not mention at the hearing at all).

Can she do this? How can she be the only year 5 child in a year 4 class??

Thank you

Huff

Don't give up, you won the appeal, so your DD has the right to go that school.I agree with the others to take it to the LGO. The HT should not be allowed to get away with doing that. Also is your daughter currently In school?
If she is not she's missing out on a lot.
The HT is bullying you to make you withdraw the place for your DD.
Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

She might have a right to a place in that school- but you surely wouldn't want her to go there!

Yes "Seeker" i do understand what your saying as well, but I still think instead of just withdrawing the place, telling the HT that you will be taking it to LGO, and also taking it to LGO could bring out a different outcome, sometimes even a better one. I agree with what "Prh" is saying.
