Help! Are you a KS 1/2 SEN teacher or SENCO in a mainstream school?

This is a bit of a serious post, compared to my usual. So thought I'd name change Smile

I am thinking of applying for a job in a mainstream First school as an SEN teacher.

They are looking for someone who is: "Familiar with, and able to use a range of diagnostic/assessment materials. Able to use a range of intervention programmes and strategies that have proven impact on children's learning, breaking down barriers and accelerating progress "

Now, I have some experience of the above through a recently completed level Sp Ld course (dyslexia) but am new to this type of SEN role.

Can I ask which interventions and assessment materials you use in your school?

The reason that this is urgent is that the deadline is on Monday.

Posted on TES forum, but it's a bit slow so thought I'd try here!

All I can think about is Wave 3 maths intervention and also Year one literacy intervention - ELS, also there is one for year 3 or 4 for literact - ALS.

Toe By Toe, Power of 2, Wellington Square, First Move, First Call, Wordshark, Number shark, Springboard, ELS/ALS/FLS are some that we use.

It's not ALS any more, it was rewritten as Quest. FLS is a Year 5 one, but Success with Sentences is better.

Thanks. That's really useful.

What about assessments?
