Not seen anything in the press recently. Are any further strikes planned?

I would point out that every union has exactly the same standpoint, even if their actions to date have been different (although I think that will change).

That's never, ever happened before.

My second link prh was to the Teachers Pensions site detailing the changes that took effect in 2007/08 and also the further changes implemented in 2010.

I saw the second link but it only seems to detail the changes that happened in January 2007. I didn't see anything there about 2010? Am I missing something?

As for the Universities: USS scheme expected to be 98% funded, fund apparently one of the strongest in the country (to be fair, that source is my union, perhaps a little biased) and has assets that grew by 2.5 billion last year

so cuts to pension entitlement will save the employer lots of money but are not based on any problem with the pension fund. It's essentially a pay cut.
