What would you like to win 20 of in a school raffle?

A couple of our PTA are organising a summer raffle for DD's primary school. We are planning to structure it so that parents donate one item each based on a given theme per class. Then all the same themed items will be packaged up in a display basket as one prize.

However, I'm struggling to think of items that are easy/cheap enough to source but that parents would also like to win 20+ of and not just be left with a load of old tat. Ideas so far include bottles (wine, ketchup, squash, etc.), plants, lottery scratch cards....

Anyone else got any bright ideas?

we do this - themed too - 'mums night in' 'dads night in' 'bottles' 'games night' ' foodies'

mums night in can be anything from bubble bath, to wine, to nail varnish to choccies
dads - wine, minature bottles, chocolates, sport mag, golf tees,
bottles - as you have done
games night - pack of cards, dominoes, travel board games, i-spy books
foodies, biscuiits, choccies, cakes, tin of pate, cheese biscuits.

Personally, if I donated a scratch card and then somebody won £1000s+ on that card I'd be a bit peeved Might be worth rethinking that one!!

The other ideas are good thought. I've not heard of this and may pinch it for next year/Christmas raffle!

Trying to remember if this was at current school or last one, but each class was given a colour and you brought in items of that colour. So then there were various hampers with items of the same colour in.

A bottle one is always popular. You always say that people can donate anything, ketchup, bubble bath, in order to not demand that people spend too much money. But they ALWAYS mostly buy alcohol. SO people love that

How about cards? birthday, thank you, any occasion...always useful....

What does everyone else think about the lottery ticket/scratch card idea? I was thinking it would be quite good, as only £1 to buy but winner could win big! If scratch cards, nobody would know who had donated which one, so less likelyhood of being peeved. I think it would be amazing if I won a load of money in a school raffle - would make a difference to the magnolia bathsets...

We used to do hampers. We had chocolate, bottle, fairtrade, various coloured ones, gardening

nights of babysitting. Would be my dream prize..

Also pinching the every parentdoantes/themed thing for Christmas.....

We did a holiday hamper. There was a list of items - sun screen, toothpaste, flannel, etc For the bigger items 2 or 3 people clubbed together such as beach towels.

a school I know does this - they call it the basket bash

They do pamper basket, chocolate, games night, night in,

Afternoon tea stuffs (different teas/coffees/hot chocs/biscuits/cakes etc)

Childrens party items (paper plates/cups/games/prizes etc)

Spa at home/detox (body scrub/deep treatment for hair/face pack etc)

Am thinking....might be back with more.

how about kids craft materials ( paper/ pens/ wobbly eyes, glitter glue)
