Dd2 will be leaving the Infants at the end of July. She will be my third child through the school and I have constantly been going there since 2001!! I would like to buy something for the school by way of thanks but cannot think of what to get. Has anyone else done this? What did you get? Or if you are a teacher what do you think would be a useful gift?

Depends how much you want to spend. Teachers need rewarding so if it's a smlaa gift, maybe a lovely big tin of biscuits for the staff room, or if it's a much bigger preent you could always fund an end of year individual or class prize for a period of time for something or other -speak to the headteacher to see what would be appropriate.

books for the library?

A fruit tree or bench for the grounds? (you would need to speak to the head)

Books for the library is a great idea.

A planter with bulbs in it ready for Spring.

A bench for the playground? A coffee machine? A radio for the staff room? Books is a good idea as all the children can benefit.
I have just place an order with The Book People for a load of books for the school library as a gift from the PTA. They have some amazing bargains at the moment!
