i am just wondering At what age do boys generally get the edge over girls with regard to running faster, strength, jumping higher.obviously there will be many people whose DD is faster than their DS but I am talking in general terms? Is it pre-schoo, Y1, Y3?
I am not doing research or anything-just curious!

don't know about athletics but in swimming it's when puberty kicks in - the qualifying times (which swimmers need to get into higher-level competitions) start diverging for girls and boys at around 13/14 - although at that age there will still be lots of girls who are bigger and more developed - and faster - than boys, but the trend will be for most boys to be faster/stronger than most girls
