various things seem a bit wrong for my 7 yr old at his local primary but mostly the fact that all his friends are leaving 1by1 to go private means he's left scratching around trying to find a 'fit' with those left. Although he never complains I'm worried things aren't brilliant for him... so, anyway I'm considering moving him... Am I too late?!

you can move anytime as long as the school has places-my childrens' school has 3 new starters next week in different years

Thanks for your reply Snice, I'm going to have to get off my lazy behind and ring round aren't I?
It's something I didn't consider about the school we are in. All the bloomin' movement.

You can indeed move any time. Some LAs and schools are a bit obstructive about this and try to insist you talk to the current school and get their permission before applying to move. They are not allowed to do this so don't take any nonsense.

Thank you prh47. I've no desire to tell them! If we don't pull off a move it's be pretty rubbish for our boy!
How do you know when is right? I mean, he's still happy it's just not a great fit for him. He's one of the oldest and the other boys are very young. He's starting to muck about cos he's bored.
