How many times would you call the LEA about a waiting list for your child?

Hi im on the waiting list for my first preference school, currently at number 4. Just wondered how many times is realistic to call the LEA to find out if she has moved up or down. I seem to have become obsessed by the whole waiting game and am so desperate to see if she has moved up ive been calling them everyday! But is it a waste of time? maybe they work on a weekly basis?

Well, they will only look to the waiting lists after all acceptances/refusals are in I would have thought, so whilst you could call daily for an update the heat would really be on after the date for return of place acceptances has passed.

I would call them to ask when the second round of allocations starts and, from that day would call weekly.
