DD gets a place at Jubilee in Lambeth - the inside track would be great

Our DD has been given her second choice place at Jubillee Primary in Lambeth (first choice was Sudbourne). I'm now desperately trying to find out whether we've made a good choice or not, the OFSTED sounds pretty mediocre but I hear its changing for the better. Would love to hear from anyone who has a DD or DS there and what they think of it. Thanks

Colleague was just talking about Jubilee the other day, apparently it's really getting better. Big intake though isn't it?

Huh, we're a stones throw from there. We will have moved away by then most likely but I take an interest because DD would never get in anywhere else I don't think.

People in the flat above send their DS there & seem pretty okay with it, & I do see a fair few faces I recognise from the Brockwell park circuit at the school gates, but nobody to talk to. Interested in the replies you get.

Hi Sandygirls, would love to know what your colleague thought of it, we have been told similar, that it's much improving but has a big intake. There's talk of another 90 children being included this year to help appease Lambeth's severe shortfall, but not sure whether this is happening..

Hi, I just started a new thread about the school - I wanted to put in my tuppence ha'penny after the SATS results, which don't give an accurate impression of how the school is now. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/primary/1364500-SATS-results-why-Im-proud-my-daughter-goes-to-Jubilee-Primary-School

I hope you're one of the reception mums too now kipper! If so how've you been finding it? I agonized about the decision to send DD there, I'd heard lots of bad stuff and the sats and ofsted were worrying. Luckily I knew a couple of mums with kids there already and they told me how it was changing - I saw it too because I visited for nursery choice and again for reception and the difference was striking.

Although Lambeth are short of places, I think it's really unlikely they'll use Jubilee - we had a 60 intake this year, which is normal for round here. Stockwell has explanded to 90 this year.

Is there somewhere online that you all keep reading SAT results on? I keep googling and can't find results for 2011 except behind Times newspaper paywall. Confused Confused

never mind, found something, I was about to go deranged on this, too.
