A nice positive feeling about what extra clubs the school gives...

This our first year in the UK school system.

My DD in year 2 and gets lots of opportunities to try things. So far this has mostly been free.

There are many lunch time and after school clubs she can take part in and belong to something. The standard of the children varies and so does the age but she has gained so much from this. There is no pressure, it's purely for enjoyment.

I'm pleased she can have the experience.

I agree. I am amazed at the wide range of lunchtime and after school clubs on offer at dd's school. She is only in year 1, and is therefore ineligible for lots of the clubs until next year, but she is really enjoying the ones that she does so far, and already planning what she'll start in year 2. I think it's great that the teachers are willing to give up their limited time to run these clubs tbh. Well, not really sure if they have a choice, but I hope they know how much it is appreciated!
