DD1 has been in school half days since September and has started bringing reading books home since the beginning of this term. She has just finished her 13th book, so 1 per day which she reads fluently without spelling every word out x 2 in less than 10 mins. Do children have to read every book in every level? Please can someone explain how levels are decided and whether it is appropriate to ask for extra books?
