Beat my September and make me feel less of a fool!

It was the Sep. weekend in Glasgow and the school where I work was closed Fri, Mon and then open for teachers inservice today. I don't work on Tuesday and I just assumed my son's school in a neighbouring council where we live was following the pattern too. So after a leisurely breakfast with 3 kids we were getting ready for a day out when the phone rang. It was ds school wondering where he was - how I cringed! I had to hunt the house for a clean uniform and pack him off to school. He was furious with me. I know its no big deal in the grand scheme of things but it is only september so I'll have to be ultra organised until at least Christmas now! Last year I turned up 24 hrs late for a parents evening. Every year I vow to get more efficient but something always trips me up and I end up looking like scatterbrained ma from another planet!
