He has a chest infection. Doctor said he is really congested. Slept and rested alot of today no energy whatsoever soooo unlike him. Really upset at not only being so poorly but the lousy timing of it all. Worried that when he returns it will set him back settling in etc. He only had 2 days at school after all. :(

My dd had something similar. Went two days and then off for three days. Now back at school, teacher has been great and she seems to be absolutely fine. Dd is 4. I was also really worried as she is in a new school and didn't know anybody but to be honest with a supporting teacher I think your son will be fine as well. it is most important that he feels well in himself so he can do himself justice and make friends and do well. That's why I kept my dd at home for three days, I thought if she feels poorly she is not going to participate, make friends, etc.

Had no choice about keeping him home really as it has really knocked him for six tbh. Really poorly. If he wasnt sooo poorly I would have been sorely tempted to send him in because he has only just started etc.
