fancy dress as a Roald Dahl character

my dd has to go to school dressed as a character from a Roald Dahl story one day this week.
she doesn't like dressing up so any suggestions will be very welcome.
I have suggested Sophie from BFG but she doesn't want to wear a nightie to school.
