Primary Schools in Redbridge - Wanstead, Aldersbrook, Woodford areas

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice on what are considered the best primaries in these areas? I am looking at league tables and ofsteds and getting thoroughly confused.

(btw - which is the best column to be led by on league tables?)

We are close to a good school atm in Walthamstow, but are considering a move to the slightly leafier LB of Redbridge - Wanstead, Woodford, Aldersbook areas potentially. We want more living space and good schools - which of course you pay for over in Redbridge ... anyhow - where would you recommend?

Many thanks

Sorry no answers,

But, which school are you close to in Walthamstow? Just wondering, as this is where we are. Just wondering why you would move if you had a good school next to you already. Is it just because you want to be somewhere leafier?

Hi - we are near Henry Maynard - which is as you prob know a good school. Want more space/bigger garden/garage - hard to come by in a nice location/near good school in E17. Also, leafier is starting to appeal, been in E17 for a long time and fancy a change as well.

Where are you? and how old are your DCS - at school yet?

We are near to St Mary's C of E - but we're not religious at all.

My son has just got a statement of special needs and I'm trying to decide between Greenleaf or Henry Maynard (with a statement you can choose, so long as they are willing to take your child).

Ds is 3 1/2 so will start Sept 2011.

I think Henry Maynard will be better for special needs - but worry about the size of it. Also its a bit further from us than Greenleaf.

I've heard only good things about the school though. Do you know of anything not so good/bad?
