7 year old with body odour

Im not sure what classes as preteen but Im hoping someone can help. My 7 year old son has started to get really smelly armpits. I mentioned it to the GP who said keep an eye as it could be early puberty and to use deodrant if we think its necessary. My question is, what deodrant? I worry about harming his sensitive skin at this age.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Wash daily at least with antibacterial soap

Yes, shower daily with a bar soap. Use the bar soap scrubbed up onto a flannel and teach him how to scrub his bits and pits

As for deodorant I'd use Wild or Fussy or Salt of the Earth natural rock salt either as the spray or the actual rock. Wild and fussy are sold in big supermarkets and the salt ones in Holland and Barratt etc

My son has this since aged 6. I got him a kids deodorant from My Little Coco which is lovely and gentle. He is now 7 and half and no other signs of early puberty but keeping my eye on it.
