Any mums struggling with the fact their children do not want to spend time with them anymore. 😢 of course they need to grow up, my boys are 14 and 12, spend most of the time in their room gaming talking to their friends. I do try to suggest activities etc but it's a no no. Any ideas? X

Mine are slightly older and as you say we don’t spend as much time together anymore. It is natural for them to grow away and spend more time with their pals.
One way to see them is to be the parent who facilitates activities. So with where we live they need lifts and if I drive them they sit in the back and that is when I hear all the gossip. I am also happy to have friends round, cook pizzas and lay out temporary beds for sleep overs. I would rather they be here than out and about.
When we go away we pick destinations I think they will like and activities we can all enjoy. When they don’t have their computers we still pull out a pack of cards and sit round like a family.
