How much for birthdays??

Just curious how much is a reasonable amount of money to give to my soon to be 12 year old son for his birthday? And my soon to be 10 year old daughter for her birthday?? Xxx

What will they do with the money? DS1 (12 shortly) needed a new cricket bat last year which was ££££. This year he doesn’t so his presents (and therefore what we spend) will be more measured.

Agree with this. Last year my eldest needed a new mobile so her bday gifts came to around £1200. This year it will be more like £250.
