I teach Year 5 (10 year olds) we finished up for the summer on Friday. I was letting kids draw on the whiteboard and noticed two kids kept drawing this symbol. Anyone know the meaning? I thought it was a harry potter thing but the harry potter symbol is slightly different.

Anyone recognise this symbol?

Therian
Symbol

Tolip · 23/07/2024 07:01

Therians are individuals who believe they are not completely human and instead identify as a species of non-human anima

I just google image searched it, it's supposedly a sign of 'Therian' which means they identify integrally as an animal.. or something along those lines.
Never heard of that one before though!

Do you understand how forums work?

Needmorelego · 23/07/2024 08:57

From that definition and as it's Year 5 children I would think it's something to do with books like Animorphs or similar.

You'd be surprised. Many children now discuss things like this.
