It's hit me that my DD has just turned 9. In my family all women get periods between 9-10yrs and I've never talked to her about periods. Which is downright stupid of me but I haven't really thought about it before. I haven't had periods since she was 1yr because of medical issues I had after having her and the resulting surgery, so she's never even seen me buy or store period products either (I also feel like that would have made an easier gateway to the conversation too)
Now I'm panicking and honestly can't work out where to even start the conversation. Any advice or if anyone knows of a good book to help explain it would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming you're a woman has she never seen you deal with your own period?

There’s a nice one called The Care and Keeping of You - there’s one aimed at younger and one at older girls
