My DS (10) has some warts (I think) on his toes and when we suggested making a doctor’s appointment he was in floods of tears and so upset. He’s had vaso vagal passing out/vomiting with vaccinations a couple of times in the last few years and I can only think he’s associating the doc with that (he says he doesn’t think of that specifically “but maybe it’s in my mind somewhere”). We assured him it’s really common to be anxious about the doctor but what else can we do to help him? The anxiety and upset does seem pretty bad. Obviously avoiding isn’t an option. Thanks!

No idea how you can help with the Doctor but surely the Pharmacist can look at the warts for him so he can avoid seeing the GP?

Maybe you could try and take a picture and send it to the GP or show the pharmacy and get over the counter treatment
