Bra Vs Bralette for 11 y.o

DD has been wearing crop tops until now, however, she has had a sudden growth spurt and in need of something more substantial. I have looked online, option of trainer bra or bralette. Bralette looks to be similar to a crop top and more comfortable than a bra I would imagine.

What did you buy for your DD? Are bralettes supportive enough whilst developing? For info, I was looking on John Lewis website as I’d hoped they would be better quality . Although happy for recommendations but don’t think 11 DD would be comfortable going for a bra fitting at present.

Whatever you get, make sure if fits properly. If she won't go for a fit (honestly the sooner she just sees it as a normal thing to do the better) then measure at home with Boob or Bust.

Thanks, I will start taking her for measuring but she’s a bit embarrassed about needing a bra just now so will start easing her in gently. What is boob or bust?

Don't go to M&S for measuring - they are useless.
But once you have her size (again recommend the Boob or Bust calculator) the Angel range at M&S is good for first bras.

DD can't wear crop tops anymore from about 6 months ago. She wears bralettes with cups inside so the nipples are covered. She likes them hates normal bras.
