She's Yr 7. Strike day meant her school was closed. She slept late, did the work that was set then I took her out for lunch. She worked a bit more in the afternoon. She walked with me to collect her younger sibling from primary. She's in a friend group of 4. We walked past one of the girl's houses and the girl opened her window to shout hello. The other two were there too. DD was really sad that all 3 spent at least some of the 'free' day together but she wasn't invited. It was probably just casual thoughtlessness but she's still sad now. Is this just the way it is when they make plans independently? If they had been Yr 6, I expect the patents might have extended an invitation to all 4. She feels forgettable. What do I say?
