Changing last name on birth certificate

Has anyone had any experience with this? I want to change my daughters last name to her fathers last name I just wondered what the process of doing this is please

You need to change it by deed poll. My son did it years ago. Can't remember how but it was very simple.

I think if the change is due to the parents getting married then they can issue a new birth certificate in the new name and it doesn’t count as a “name change”. Not sure if there is a time limit.

Yes, you can re-register the birth if you and her father have since got married, otherwise it can't be changed but you can change it by deed poll.
