Can anyone recommend a good period tracker app for 12 year old?

DD has recently started her periods and would like to keep a track of them using an app so she knows roughly when to expect the next one. I've never used an app myself because I've been on the pill for years so always knew when my break week was, can anyone recommend an easy to use and understand for a 12 year old please?

I use one called Clue and one called Period Calendar. Period calendar is probably easier to use

My same age daughter is using one one that comes on the health area of her iphone. You can do it so it track everything including intercourse and fertility but you can turn it off too.

My daughter uses flo

It's built into the iPhone

Clue is OK but be sure to turn off all the data sharing options so the app doesn't share info with advertisers.

Euki is also recommended for being privacy-focused.

Its not an iphone she has. She's given both Flo and Period Calendar a try and preferred Period Calendar. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I would add that a crystal ball is as accurate as an app for the first 6 months- they will be all over the place lol but then settle down

@bjjgirl amen! My daughter is 2 years in since starting and for the first 18 months her cycles ranged from 14-48 days!! Only the last six months they've been 20-something but still not an exact science.

What are your views on children’s data, particularly intimate data and the security and protection of their data? How you feel about that, and how confident you are about various tracker brands handling her intimate data will likely shape what you choose and what conversations you have with her.

Hi everyone - I'm a bit late to this post but I wanted to share a solution! I was worried about my own data privacy, and realising how few options there were for girls who are just starting their period to learn how to track their cycle (apart from apps), I made a Tracker that kind of looks like a tamagotchi ! It doesn't need a smartphone or app so no privacy concerns. It's called Immi Watch but I'd LOVE to chat to anyone who might be interested to see how I can improve it :)

Hey everyone, came across this thread when I was looking for a period tracker for my daughter, and have found a fab one which I'm hoping helps any others – it's called "we are luna" in app stores. Run by doctors and made for teens so it's medically trustworthy and appropriate, and also has a whole library of content they can learn from about puberty and growing up plus they can ask questions to these doctors and get answers back. She's loving it so far and helps me massively with Qs I just don't know the answer to :)

We tried 'We Are Luna' as well and my DD loves it, she tells me all these things she's learnt from it and I think it's fab that she can also track her mood, discharge etc

I can also recommend the app luna. DD didn't really want to talk much to me about periods and things but I knew things were happening, so wanted her to be prepped. So I bought the premium membership thing for her and just wow, literally maybe a week or so later all she could talk about was all the things she had learnt and was loving the whole app, not just the tracker. Love it xxx
