The ever lasting cold

My daughter has been poorly for at least 3/4 weeks now. It started off as a cold then she began getting tonsilitis and an ear infection, she was given antibiotics which seemed to have cleared up the infection however she is still snotty and has a tickly cough after two weeks after! Should I worry? I've been back and fourth to the doctors and when it did turn into something she needed antibiotics for they finally helped, I know this awful bug/flu is going around aswel but I was just wondering if it's common for these symptoms to stick around for so long?

Really don't know on that one sorry @MissJJ19

Have you asked the Pharmacist for their advice?

My DD and DS have both had this awful cold and recurring sore throats/ coughs since beginning of October. Apparently the Dr has said it's likely to be Glandular fever but can't determine it without a blood test.
If confirmed with a blood test there's nothing that can be done anyway as it's a virus. Unless there's obvious signs of a bacterial infection I wouldn't bother going to the Drs.
