First solo bus ride

When does this happen?! Dd is 12.5 and wanting to start getting the bus to town to then meet friends when she gets there. When do others start going on public transport alone?

Mine will have a few trial runs before they start secondary, but once they hit y7 they'll be on the public bus daily. So 11.
