Parkour? We have a good one near us. (Lots of Soft floors etc!)

Taking his bike or scooter to the BMX track.

God he would love parkour! I don't think we've anything like that near us, but I'm going to look into it.

What sort of things is he into? Does he mean joining a club or a hobby he can do from home?

A few ideas:
Martial arts
Dance
Acting classes
Football/Rugby
Skateboarding
Art (working with paints, plaster, resin, digital art)
Forgotten the name of it but where they paint the little figures and play games with them?
An instrument
Some sort of building projects with Lego or anything thing he could build with
Cooking/baking
