Hair removal upper lip

Dd (12) has dark hair on her upper lip which she has become conscious of and asked for a way of removing.
We have tried 2 different creams after the first time being ok- that are specially for that area and she reacted to both so can’t use them and reluctant to try another in case it happens again.
What other methods would be good for this age that I can try with her- I don’t think she’ll cope with wax but not sure what else to try.

Waxing or threading?

ItsSnowJokes · 07/02/2022 07:32

Threading or a dermaplane? I use both. Try a Hollywood browzer they are fab.

Or she could try that JML flawless finishing touch thing which would be more like shaving it. Can't vouch for it as I've never tried it

Take her to a beauty salon and let them wax her top lip. It won't be very expensive and someone skilled will be doing it. See how she gets on.

Jolen bleach?
The sensitive one

Alakazam8 · 07/02/2022 07:58

Was thinking of taking her to a salon for it and will find one that does waxing and threading. Hopefully one of those will work for her. Don’t want to use bleach really as she may react to that too.

Will look up dermaplane too and the jml one.
Thanks

@dementedpixie decided to give the finishing touch a try for her. It seems painless and something she could do herself. I wouldn’t want her microplaning by herself for quite a while I think! If that doesn’t work will try the salon..

Bit old, but I recommend this French bleach, its mild especially for girls

My Primark has a brilliant beauty place. She could have it waxed or threaded. Personally have threading but it's just a preferrence

Waxing as it's quick and I personally find it pain free. Threading I found hurt a little more for me. My daughter is 11 and has the same issue. Once she is ready il be taking her to the salon to try waxing or threading

I used to have electrolysis (my mum started taking me to the salon at around age 13) and then when I was a bit older I switched to waxing. My daughter had very dark hair and I plan to take her to the salon for waxing if she decides she would like to remove upper lip hair when she is older.
