7yr old starting puberty

My 7 year old has very noticeable breasts buds now. They started at age 6.

I've spoken to the GP but as she has not hairs then they are not concerned.

My worry is about how to manage the fact she is so obviously developed compared to other girls her age and at her age I want her to be completely innocent yet I have to explain to her about covering up etc. I don't want her to be self conscious but I feel she does need ro be aware.

Is there anyone who has gone through this with their children that can give any advice about how I should manage it ?

Sorry you haven't had any replies @1winterblues. I would have thought that 7 was considered precocious puberty and I'm a bit surprised by your GP.

Go back to another GP and get a second opinion. I was told it was the other way around; hairs not to worry, breast buds and they would refer. I think they would need to do a bone scan to monitor growth.

It is important for a young girl to be well prepared, especially with different period supplies so that she can read the instructions etc at her own pace. The femplete.com kit is useful and contains a lot of information.
