How long for periods to settle

Poor old dd is in her third in 9 weeks. They seem to be lasting a week or so so not getting massive respite between them.

Mine settled down pretty quickly I seem to recall - got into a 4 week cycle almost straight off.

Oh I was wondering this too!
My dd started recently and second one arrived less than 3 weeks from the start date of the first one.
So roughly 2 weeks between finish of first and start of second. Hope this will settle!

No idea but I'd like an answer too. DD had her first 2 1/2 years ago, and they're still eratic. Recently she's had a few over about 6 weeks and is getting fed up with it. I'm thinking about making an appointment with the GP but have no faith they'll say anything constructive Hmm

My 12yr old DD started in June with a really heavy painful period which lasted two and a half weeks. She then had a one week break followed by another heavy period 😭 I did speak to the Dr because both periods were very heavy. Dr said to wait and see how things go.

She's had two periods since, but both at random times. So I guess I will wait and see how thongs settle.

See how things settle, not thongs!

I found this website and her book) helpful

My dd Is 11. This is her 4th period.
1st one few bits
2nd one 28 days later little bit more
3rd one full.period 28 days
4th one she is currently on seems to be a full normal one 33 days. My mum always says women who live together bleed together and well I'm guessing she is right as dd was late but came on same time as me.

How old is your dd ? Are they light or nornal

Just come back to this.

Interesting thanks.

Dd is nearly 12. My mum said the same about me and her syncing up. Definitely used to happen in our halls of residence at uni! At the moment we do seem to be nearly there as I have short sharp cycles (3 days every 25/26 days).

This last one has apparently gone away again. So spotting for a day. I get ovulation spotting but is very light whereas this was quite a bit.

I am not going to rush her down the docs quite yet- give her a few more months to settle and maybe get her on some iron. At least they aren't painful!

My dd is 11 and started in January. She's had 8 periods, cycles have been 23-43 days. Doc says up to two years to settle
