My oldest dd is 8.5. Is this too soon for hormonal changes?

She’s been moody, angry, crying and just really seems to have changed hugely in the last two weeks. She has also been complaining of aching joints most of this year.

I started my periods aged a young 11 in year 6. It’s just occurred to me that she might be at the start of puberty very soon but I’m not sure.

Are there any other signs?

It could be precocious puberty, best to speak to your gp.

It's just typical moody girl. Let her have her own space x

That is a sexist comment Christmas. I have three daughters by the way and their personalities are all completely different. Also thank you for the advice but where in my post did you read anything about our reactions to the mood swings?

Buddy the other things are frequent aches and pains. Definitely had a growth spurt as gained several cm in recent months. I don’t think aged 8 is precocious puberty I think it’s normal range.

My dd is 11 now and was same. She still has aching joints now. We get her some insoles for her shoes and some reebok arch support trainers. She's much better. She has been same since aged 8 and no periods yet.
