So dd is 12, I hadn't realised how small her bras were getting til she just walked in the room in a white vest top. ribs 26 inch, bust 32 inch, so that's a 26f yes?? She would prefer a looser band so 28e i.e. But where the feck do you buy them? I've had her try on my various sizes ones to see if certain brands fit better etc and she really HATES underwired Lucky her

Any help?

Have you tried the super stretchy ones that are more sleep bras. They can be quite good if she's young

Mine are A bit old and saggy but I wear them when slobbing at home as super comfy.

whenwillthemadnessend · 02/04/2021 21:26

Sloggi do them or try a designer like Calvin Kline. My lucky dd can wear them as she isn't as busty and they do cute soft bralettes in very small backs.

AnotherEmma · 02/04/2021 21:26

If you or DD are on Facebook, you could join the Boob or Bust group and ask for recommendations for 26F/28E for her age.

You could look at bralettes, I wonder if the M&S DD+ bralette in a size 8 would be a decent fit...

HelloDulling · 02/04/2021 21:29

Brastop are a good website for big sizes. Often have good sales. www.brastop.com/products/cleo-by-panache-lyzy-triangle-non-wired-bra-black

TheCanyon · 02/04/2021 21:34

@whenwillthemadnessend funnily enough I kept getting a pop up of amazon's comfiest non wire slouch bras, bought them myself and worn nothing else since January. Dd actually stole one but it's too big on the ribs , not that she cares.

@AnotherEmma I'm on fb, will certainly try there. Dd will absolutely not be up for the usual boob or bust measurement takings though that would be funny trying Grin worst parent EVER. I think I have got a size 6 or 8 long line bralette that we can try its 20 year old from new look though

TrainWhistleChoir · 02/04/2021 21:38

Try Boux Avdnue. They do a 28 back. Not zur

TheCanyon · 02/04/2021 21:38

@HelloDulling thank you so much.

This is honestly the best thread I've ever posted on mn, so helpful, truly thank you guys.

I've nae idea bout bras these days as above the super comfy amazon bras and having empty saggy shits so trying a million on to find something reasonable for dd. I also never had boobs til 15 ish I think.

TrainWhistleChoir · 02/04/2021 21:39

Oh that worked well. Certainly do a range of 28 inch bras and a range of colours.

Hollister has a ridiculous number of bralettes. Not sure what the band/cup ratio would be like for 26F/28E but could be worth a try.

AnotherEmma · 02/04/2021 22:13

Actually they do "curvy" bralettes which are smaller in the band and bigger in the cup.

Feeling rather smug, do come back and tell me I've won the thread Grin

whenwillthemadnessend · 03/04/2021 07:56

That's daisy one is lovely Oh how I wish I wasn't old and saggy 😫😫

nameychange · 03/04/2021 08:00

I’d try Victoria secrets. There 32 band isn’t a 32 band it’s tiny so the 32ddd fit like a 28. This is the sort my DD liked until she got too big for these, then we bought bras from bravissimo or bra stop

Pink at Victoria Secrets that is.

There is no way Calvin Klein bras will accommodate boobs of an E cup - I think they only go to a C. Sloggi might be ok - they're not designed for big boobs but they are at least stretchy. My own experience with Sloggi is that the fabric fails eventually, if you overload them.

I've had the same issue with both of my daughters. All they want to wear are the pretty lacy and delicate bralets that are fashionable but they just don't work for large breasts. You can get simple T-shirt bras in a 28 band with big cup sizes from John Lewis but they're not very exciting.

As a big-breasted girl of the 90s, brought up on underwires and proper support, it frustrates me that DDs won't wear them - but I understand they look grannyish and armoured in comparison to what is fashionable.

nameychange · 03/04/2021 08:18

Actually misread your post, the pink ones would probably be too big in the band, although once the shops open you could try there. DD did wear them but I wasn’t totally happy as the band would ride up at the back.

We also got large cup ones from M&S again their bands were tiny that my DD ended up having to try on loads to find the right fit

whenwillthemadnessend · 03/04/2021 08:27

Oops. May have just ordered £80 worth of bras for dd on vic secret. Free returns tho so I got several sizes and they are on sale.

Tottington · 03/04/2021 08:33

I was a big breasted teenager of the 90s and wore awful Doreen bras for years until I discovered Bravissimo.
Wonderbra do amazing strapless bras for larger cup sizes: very supportive and smooth under t-shirts.
Have a look on Belle-Lingerie (co.uk) they have all the brands that Bravissimo stock but slightly cheaper.

Teatoweltable · 03/04/2021 08:39

Would she like Molke bras?

dementedpixie · 03/04/2021 08:46

Is it not 26E with those measurements or 28DD in the sister size?

HelloDulling · 03/04/2021 08:51

@SaucySarah I feel the same. Worry that DD should be wearing an underwire. No idea if I’m right though.

nameychange · 03/04/2021 08:52

Whenwillthemadness- whilst not the best fit they were good for Dd when she was a 28f (but actual ribs 26) as she would actual wear them! She liked the wider under bands as the skinny ones rubbed her skin (she has an underlying health condition) and the lack of wires too. She did them up on the tightest setting. there’s no way they were 32s and I have never I’d have got the the 32 done up which is the size I wear in bras!

Miffyliffy · 03/04/2021 09:22

www.bonds.com.au/womens/bras/sports-bras.html

Bonds do some really comfy ones....

The cross over ones are super good support for bigger boobs I'm a g cup and find them super supportive and super comfy

partyatthepalace · 03/04/2021 10:43

Amazon do a basic cotton bra in a wide range of sizes - I think with your daughters cup size a bralet may not be supportive enough? The bigger bra retailers (curvy Kate, bravissimo etc), should also do light sports bras for yoga etc, that may work

If you can stump up the cash temporarily, I would order a good selection, try and return - because it will take some trial and error to find something both comfortable and supportive.
