Hello all, I'm struggling to understand my 11-year-old behaviour lately... He is not passionate/interested in ANYTHING ( other than PC games). He is going to a few clubs but doesn't seem to enjoy any of them. He is also quite pessimistic about things and constantly complaining/nagging about pretty much everything. We are thinking about getting him counselling. Am I overreacting?

Going to be quick as need to do school run. I have the same issue with my DD who will be 12 in March. Rolls eyes at everything, slams doors etc. Got 3 older DDs and I'm afraid it's the dreaded hormones. Just wanted you to know you aren't alone, it's completely normal, and it will get better 💐

It’s normal. Counselling is a good idea though for all children regardless
Of need. My son has it and i think it’s very helpful. They are at an age where they start clamming up to you as parents but not other people. Plus normalising therapy is good for the future.
Go for it. X
