Cheek biting in sleep

Just seeing if anyone else has experienced their child biting their cheek while asleep. My Son who is 11 years old has been doing this on and off for about 6 months. I'm unsure if its an anxiety issue or a dental problem. Recently it's been bad enough to leave blood on his pillow :(
Any advice appreciated. Thank you Smile

Hello, I personally do this and have since a child. It's called bruxism. I find it comes back now during times of stress. This year I've found it worse than ever. I often chew one side of my cheek or another..

You can get 'gum shield' type things from the dentist to reduce damage to teeth and soft tissues.

Hope this helps x x
