My daughter is 10y2m and very far into puberty already. The past few months her skin has erupted, mainly forehead and chin and it's really upsetting her. We've tried the ordinary range, simple range, sudocrem masks and more recently the GP prescribed epiduo but so far hasn't done anything. Obviously this is all part and parcel of puberty but she's only about to go into year 6 and her confidence is knocked so I'd like to try and get it under control before September. Dd has also had a colossal growth spurt and is now 5'1 Shock

Stop using anything harsh.

Buy some cerave or use similar cleanser. Then a salicylic toner (Garnier organic thyme one is excellent value and very good).
FaceTheory porebright serum and gel moisturiser as her skin may be dehydrated even if it's oily.

Doctor for return trip.

It's definitely hormonal so it's a case of see the GP and use gentle products that won't strip her skin.

Don't use Simple- it isn't.
Effaclar by La Roche Posay is good.
Nadine Baggot on YouTube has a great video for a simple routine for anyone of any age with breakouts.

Oops pressed too soon.

The ordinary range is a salicylic cleanser which she uses every morning and then their moisturiser and then the GP's prescription at night. But nothing is calming them. They're red and angry and several white heads poor thing.

DS had the same. Doctor prescribed DUAC. He still gets the occasional spot but just using a cleanser with salicylic acid has really cleared his skin.

I second effaclar from la Roche posay. It's made a big difference to my dds sporty forehead.

My DD has similar and uses Nip and Fab Teen Skin Rescue pads, then Effaclar or Witch Overnight Clearing Serum from Superdrug overnight. Also recently Yes to Grapefruit Unicorn Clay Mask (it looks amazing for a couple of days after this but I assume too harsh for more than weekly use). It's never completely clear but at least I know it's clean and she sorts out her whiteheads hygienically with little 1ml syringes.

@SwayingInTime Can I ask what the syringes are that you mention for whiteheads please?
